I have a capitalone card that was a platinum and upgraded to quicksilver. I looked at my statement and it shows platinum not quicksilver. When do i see an upgrade to a different card. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you and be safe.
It won't. I product changed my Platinum to a QS as well. The only things that changed for us were the reward structure, so that we now get 1.5% cash back and the color of the card/app.
So there are different classifications/levels for Mastercard. CapOne issues a "Platinum", "World", and "World Elite".
Technically speaking, my original CapOne Platinum card was a "Platinum" Platinum. That card was PC'd to a QS years ago, and the QS was then technically a "Platinum" Quicksilver.
I received an auto CLI in 12/2018 that put it at $6500 CL. Then in 4/2019, CapOne upgraded my card's classification/level to "World", issuing new cards and everything. So my QS is now technically a "World" Quicksilver.
I guessing once a CL reaches a certain level (perhaps $5000), CapOne can upgrade the card's classification/level from Platinum to World. Next step would be from World to World Elite (maybe that threshold is $10,000?).

Thats not how it works with Cap 1, I started with Plat PC into QS CLI from $500 to $2k. No tiers no APR changes, just the same old card with 29% APR...Now Im PC into Venture One CL is $6.5k No tiers no APR changes, just the same old card with 29% APR again. Now I get denied for a CLI due to having a credit balance or not enough use of it.....Bi-polar .....I could PC into the Venture with AF but why? Not worth it
platinum is the LEVEL of card (platinum, signature)
quicksilver is the TYPE of card (qs, savor, venture)

That is your experience. Mileage varies.
Plenty of people have been upgraded from platinum to signature or world or world elite.

Right but plenty of us haven't which means it's not a rule. I have a $8250 line on my once Platinum and it's still a "Platinum" card. It has been PC'd to QS and then V1 and it's still a "Platinum" card despite me having a World Elite SavorOne.

I got the platinum card in January 2019, i do not know when i upgraded to the quicksilver, it does not show on the statement. When can i expect an upgrade from the quicksilver to another card. I started out with a 400 cl and got an increase in March 2020 to 500. Thank you and be safe.
I just had mine upgraded the other day, and that's because I didn't even know about upgrades until this forum. No need to wait for Cap one, just use the link to check.
