Grettings folks
I wanted to put a fe DPs out there as I don't see many on here for car rental statuses.
-National: Apparently the perk to get Executive status through Visa Infinite/CSR is no longer but it is available on the Amex Platinum and incredibly easy to add
-Avis: The Platinum also offers Preferred PLUS with Avis which may not be too special BUT when using Amex's CDP we can earn a 2-day weekend rental coupon after 2 completed qualifying rentals from Avis of 2 or more days each in a 6-month period.
-Hertz: Gold status, fine not a big deal, but with Amex's CDP they give an interesting perk of receiving a 4-hour grace period on returns within the US, before an extra day charge is applied
Lastly - I could not find these privileges on my benefits portal, a customer service rep directed me https://americanexpress.com/platinum >> Car Rental Privileges in order to add these.
Wanted to pass this along, hope it helps. Many may already know but the different Amex site and the lack of Infinite perk was new for me and I wanted to pass along.
Cheers.
Thanks for the info!
I'll also add a few things.
With National status, you also get Enterprise status if you log into Enterprise using your National Emerald Club credentials instead of your Enterprise Plus credentials.
With Hertz, the American Express Executive discount after linking your account (codes to apply for discounts are found on the individual pages for each car rental company on the Benefits tab in your Amex account) seems to have better savings than any other discount I have tried.
With Hertz, if you use the American Express Executive discount you must pay with your Platinum card which offers secondary rather than primary insurance.
Hi-
Thanks for this DP. Can you elaborate on where you got this information? I noticed that the Visa Infinite site is still operational.

Having status via my Visa Infinite card is one of the important points for me. I might be forced to pick up the Venture X for Hertz status if this changes. Albeit that's only for the next three years.
Thanks

@IntegerIntrovert Of course, National Loyalty services sent me that information. I've included a screenshot below. Hope this helps. I agree it was a little odd and a great perk of the CSR and I wanted to share with the community. I will say switching my account to the Plat perk was INCREDIBLY easy.
Thank you!
So thanks for sharing that link, I didnt realize the perks are literally the same. If K-in-Boston is correct, and they almost always are, with hertz to you need to use Plat to get the Plat benefit. If that is the case, I'm going to go through my profiles and change to Visa perk and see whats different
