Re: Card Management Techniques

Quicken.....hands down-nothing even comes close. Mint? Cleared transactions helps to properly manage nothing (that's called reconciliation). Excel?..blah. Thats the easy part; now what to use to manage min spend requirements, promo offers at inception, aprs, BT fees, cash rewards, travel rewards, hotel rewards, which card at grocery store, which for gas, which for this, which for that...

Re: Card Management Techniques

I used to use Quicken, but my Mac offered iBank. It is similar to Quicken and does the job easily. I do all my financial planning with the program.

Re: Card Management Techniques

I would actually get on the phone with some reps and look into combining limits and combining cards. I'm not a heavy spender, not traveler this year, so often a quicksilver the cash back is better than waiting for 2500 points to hit on the AMEX or chase. Of course I'm thinking about this as the rewards not just paying the bills the 17 minimum payments is a lot more than a $500 payment and rewards almost every month with it that kind of thing
