Thank you for setting me straight on statement cuts...I am new to this and there is so much information out there (many of which conflict).

Definitely would let one report for maximum scores if you wish to be this micromanaging.. I have about 6-7 reporting balances this month with the scores in my signature, so it doesn't matter tremendously. YMMV for everyone though.
So you have 6-7 cards reporting and your scores are still that high?
I suspect under Fico 08 the "exactly one" isn't so necessary. I got my 848 with about 3 reporting, and others have reported the same. So this oft-repeated stuff might need to updated (and of course I am guilty of repeating it in this thread!). But I guess it's OK to say 1 to be safe (and seems to matter for FICO 04, still important for mortgages)

yep. My utilization is like 0-1%, though. Max of 3-4% with shifting balances reporting. Just looked at Equifax and I had 8 balances reporting yesterday. No score change.. current scores in signature.
longtimelurker's 848 with 3 balances reporting is stellar though! makes me wonder if only one reported a balance would it be 850 or 849? LOL and what would it take to get that one extra point. Stupid crap like that runs through my brain. ha!
