Cards with Chip and Pin vs Chip and Signature

So far, in the US, I can only see that Barclays offers actual Chip and Pin, while all others that have a chip still require a signature after a transaction in a machine that accepts chips.

I changed my PIN last night since I'm going to be doing some overseas travel. I hope I that doesn't mean they have to send me a new card, or it may not arrive in time...

Anyway, does anyone know of any other US card that has actual chip and pin?

This subject comes up often. I'm fairly sure that no Barclays card is a true Chip and Pin with Pin priority True ones are very limited. The Diner's Club card that some of us have but is no longer available is one. The UNFCU is also one. Other than that, can't remember any more.

Yes, UNFCU is the only PIN priority card currently available for apping, Diners has it and some earlier USAA (and maybe NFCU as well) cards were chip&pin but now are chip&sig.

Barclays at least has working PIN support. WF also issues some cards with proper PIN support.

It does work in unattended kiosks at train stations.

But only UNFCU and Diners are true C+P.

My Chase Freedom and Wells Fargo Visa are both chip and pin. They arrived that way.

Well they might have PINs but they're not true chip and pin cards. As earlier mentioned the only two currently available in the US right now are the UNFCU and in the recent past the Diners Club cards.

I have had my USAA Mastercard since last june, the physical card has been swaped several times because of changing my rewards programme, it should be interesting to see if my card behaves like a chip and pin card when in Europe this next week. The times I have used it at walmart it has stated that it was pin verified without a pin. Versus my Amex cards say they are signature verified without needed a sig.

Same as others. It's not a true Chip and Pin with Pin priority. While it will work, it defaults to signature at first therefore not making it a true chip and pin.
