Do you think I will be denied for a CareCredit card if I previously had an Amazon Synchrony card that was closed due to non-payment, or do they keep those departments separate? (Has since been paid off)

That depends. Synchrony gets over grudges, but there is no set timeline.
You will have to apply to find out.
If the previous account is relatively recent CO, and you paid recently, give it some more time.
If it's from long time ago, it might be fine.
In any case, it's a single pull.
If you do decide to go for it let us know what happens
Hmm. My ex had Care Credit that was charged off and sent to collections. Whilst the charge off from Sync was on the report he couldn't apply for another Care Credit (he tried and they didn't pull- he was blacklisted).
After being in Charge off for 5 months Sync sold the account and removed the Charge Off. (The collection's still there, he's being sued by LVNV).
The next day after Sync removed the charge off, he froze all credit reports and applied for Care Credit again. It said he had to call in to finish application.
He called in and they told him to unfreeze his credit report. He unfroze Equifax as it was the highest score. They wanted to use Transunion but he said it would be easier to unfreeze Eq, so they used Equifax.

I know this is different from your situation. It seems in his case they didn't care that he was literally being sued for 17k for a Care Credit charge off. They gave him another. This was 3 weeks ago.
again your case is different but I don't think Sync for Care Credit has a long memory. Everyone's different though
Synchrony does get over things in time but if its been recent or the scores at the bottom of your post are correct, I would not try yet.
