Hey, this is WAY too serious for subtle references here. I must admit to some surprise though, I had assumed that people who disagree with me must be far too stupid to be able to post, so SOMEONE must be helping them..... What's their game?
Dont sweat it LLT ❤
I'm fairly certain back in the day you could have kept up with me.
Also, I try to limit myself to 3% of synapses firing as I'd hate to overwhelm, though some adulation is always welcome.

Funny you should say that. I have three AMAZING designer handbags going cheap, each had just one careful owner. (Well, they were careful until they foolishly allowed themselves to be knocked out and relieved of their handbags, but everyone is allowed one mistake)

There you go again, showing off that you have at least 34 synapses! Not everyone is as lucky
It should all go down like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtIfwnDnjiM

Never happened because it takes 20 seconds to do. It's about the principalities, smokey.
@Anonymous wrote:The Discover IT is only a 1% card in the first place though, just like CF is 1%, FU is 1.5%, Citi DC is 1% + 1%, etc. All cards have a base percentage and require you to activate the boost effect to earn higher percent. Unless they have default automatic rotating categories, i don't have any that are.
It's not bad business to have them set up that way, it's considered good business. Since they wouldn't be paying out anything for all those who forget to activate. If they wanted you to have maximum earning potential, then they would just have a base 5% card and cut out the BS. That would cost too much in revenuw loss considering he swipe fee isn't even that high!
Why would they have to just make a 5% card? They have no problem funneling the charges where they need to go when you activate. Why bother with that step?
@Brian_Earl_Spilner dont forget to activate.
I guess I'm just puzzled that in a place where "my spreadsheet" means something, essays being written about 2% vs 2%, where people fight to keep CLs they have no plans of using (ever), activating a category is somehow a big, undue burden.
It's as if world has run out of problems, so one needed to be manufactured.

You don't get it. The banks are out to get us. First it's actvating for 5% cashback. Once they know they got you, then it's slashing limits on cards you barely use and shutting down cards to decrease your exposure of 3-4x your salary. Just watch. It's just a matter of time.
I always remember to activate.
I never remember to use them.
