Hi everyone, I am trying to decide if I should close my Chase Amazon card, I really only got it for the $50 gift card that came with it and when I got approved they only gave me a starting limit of $700. I have had this card for 1 year now and it still sits at $700, while I've managed to get all my other cards to limits between $7000 and $20,000. Anyone have experience with this card? How hard would it be to get increased to a reasonable limit? I'd hate to do a hp to get an increase and they only give me a couple hundred $. Thanks
If you don't want to use it anymore, just sock drawer it. At least that way it will age and decrease your utilization.
Yeah I will probably cancel it cause $700 does not help considering I just went over 100k in credit with some cli's I got this week. I know most people post about the low starting limit so I was looking to see how chase is about raising the limit later on
I cancelled mine. There's a long thread on this.
I've had one since 2011. Got an initial SL of 2.5k and there it stayed for 5 years.
Recently got a CSP and transferred all but 1k of the limit to the CSP.
This card is sitting in the sock drawer at home as an emergency card for the wife when I'm out of town.
