Chase Amazon Card Question

Is there a way to request a CLI on this card online? I don't see an option but it's always possible I am overlooking it. 😂 I have had the card since late November/early December. I use it constantly for Amazon purchases and only got a $1,500 credit limit and try to pay it off before the next statement cycle. I'd like to build the card up a little so that in case I carry a balance I will have a bit of a cushion from carrying more than a 10% balance against the limit.

Is there an option online or will this be a call in/hard pull situation? I don't really want to go that route so thought I'd check here first. If it's a hard pull situation, I'll probably just continue to make sure I'm paying off the balance in full each month to try to keep a good relationship with them until they decide I'm worthy of an increase. 😂

Re: Chase Amazon Card Question

Chase doesn't have a CLI button option that I am aware of . You got to call or you can send a message but you will get a Hp sometimes 2.

Re: Chase Amazon Card Question

Oh I don't think so. 😂 Two hard pulls?! I'll stick with that $1,500 credit limit! Lol

Thanks for your reply! 🙏

No you have to do it by phone.

I once got an auto CLI on this card.  I typically spend $200-$300 on it. One month I spent $2500. In a month or two I noticed that my limit had increased from 8k to 10,500.

Re: Chase Amazon Card Question

Thanks @SouthJamaica - Looks like I'll be waiting around and just continue putting some usage on it. Hopefully one day I will get some LUV on it.

Re: Chase Amazon Card Question

I've had this card for years at $2500 limit and then a few months ago they silently raised it to $12,800 without prompting and seemingly without logic. I have never been so surprised at an increase.

Now they are bombarding me with balance transfer checks. Decent duration to August 2023 and 0% interest but the fee is 4%.

I gave up on contacting Chase years ago. My Freedom card is still stuck at $1000 limit, which is by far my lowest. It started at $400, bumped to 1 dime maybe 6 months later, and has remained there for the past 9 years. I requested one increase but it was denied. When I inquired again they put me on the phone and it was easy to detect they were nervous about my gambling background and sources of income. I get wildly different vibes and response from various companies, as I've mentioned. Freedom must not be directly linked to the Freedom Flex or Chase Amazon people. Otherwise I don't understand why Freedom Flex started me at $6300 recently and Amazon with the 10 dime increase yet Freedom remains at 1 dime.

Re: Chase Amazon Card Question

Unfortunately you have to call in for a limit increase request to be made and it will be a hard inquiry. Hopefully soon your spend will provoke them to do an auto-limit increase for you!  Best wishes to you!

Yep, they should be able to reallocate with a quick phone call or secured message.

Yeah i moved a small amount of my CL from my Amazon to my CSP when the CSP was getting used heavily for SUB and P2 was traipsing around Alaska (large hotel and car rental holds). 0 issue. Will likely do again since they increased my Amazon to 25k. Been kind of trying to stick it out in case they auto increase the CSP... but I doubt they will do it before I need the limit high enough to upgrade to the CSR.
