Hi, I've been reading and lurking for a while!
Can't figure out the best approach to this one so I'm posting. I got the Chase FU 2 months ago and am not happy with the $8000 limit. It is my first card with them and I've since learned that Chase is conservative (no fun). I wanted the 0 interest, SUB and to replace my old Cap One QS $9500 limit card which has stopped growing. I already have some prequals for CSP and CF but I don't want HPs and similar limits. I am also not happy about HP CLIs in general. I care about growth, rewards, and no AF longterm.
So wait it out then try a CLI or apply for a prequal and combine after SUB?
AAOA is at 2 years 8 months with the CFU and a new mortgage. No baddies, 3 new HP on EQ 1 one on TU, FICO 787, overall utilization is about 5% I mostly charge and pay off in a few one larger balance I'm paying down over time. Other cards are:
NFCU 25,000
BCE 25,000
IT 18,500
DC 14,100
old cu 1000 ( lol my 1st cc)

If you want the CSR, then you should app for it. Normally the premium CCs gives higher SLs than the others.
Or you could grab a cobranded Chase card and use it as a donor card for future consolidating.
Amex IME is much better at growth with very few HPs after the first in card.
You don't have many INQs. Those couple of INQs aren't going to put you in purgatory. lol
INQs really aren't a huge factor in obtaining credit or keeping it.
Ah thanks, I'm still in fear of doing anything "wrong" (after going through the mortgage process) lol. I don't travel enough to justify the AF on CSR. So don't wait it out? Give up on CFU and CF and look for other options?
