Is there going to be any added advantage in getting approval if we have a Chase checking/savings account?

There is anecdotal evidence that having a Chase checking or savings account contributes favorably to getting approved for a card.
I'm not sure their computers take the checking/savings relationship into consideration for instant approvals. But, if you wind up on a reconsideration call it is very likely the analysts will consider it.
like above poster said, if you have a account on reconsideration they will give you more leeway. my family friends dad had a savings with chase and one credit card for 6 months with macys, and was approved for freedom on his first try after calling. theres a chance that account helped. (note: he called after 7-10 notice, not rejection)
I have no doubt I got a Chase Freedom BECAUSE of my Chase account. I couldn't get an IT....but Chase handed me a 3k limit.
I'm a long standing case customer 5+years with a substantial amount of money that has been sitting there and increasing as I save. At the end of the day my credit line is 10% of what I have sitting at their bank but Im glad to have it.
