I know this is an old thread, but I just got my Freedom card and noticed the paywave symbol.   So do the cards now come with this be default (with Citi you have to ask)?   What surprised me is I can't see any mention of this in the material that came with the card (or maybe I just missed it).

Pay Pass is pretty awesome... Used to have it in my Chase debit card. makes getting out of a cab super fast as many of the swiping mechanisms in NYC taxis are at odd angles or can take a few swipes to get the job done. Does anyone know if the offer this for CSP?

AFAIK, it is not offered on CSP, even on the plastic (non-metal) version.  The only recent aesthetic/functional changes to the CSP is the addition of the EMV chip.
