I have a Chase Freedom I just opened in late August, with a CL of $4,000. I used it enough to get the $200 welcome bonus, PIF immediately, and really haven't used it much at all since then due to Discover bonus category this quarter, and having a Citi DC that I use for everything else.
I just took a peek at Chase's prequal site & it says I'm prequal for a Slate, which I don't really want. But, when I'm logged into my account access online, I don't see anywhere that says anything about offers for me, and I also don't see any link to request CLI. Doesn't make sense that their prequal site has Slate, but that's nowhere to be found in my actual account access.
And what about the CLI link? Is it not there because the account is too new? Or maybe because I've not really used it beyond the spend required for the bonus? Where is it normally?
Any advice on timing for CLI with Chase?
Thanks,
Debbie

As far as I know, you must call in for a CLI or maybe secure message.
Its always a hard pull unless they give you an automatic CLI by themselves. In three years I got one auto CLI of $1500 on my Freedom and it was exactly on the 3rd year anniversary of my account.
There has never been an online link to my knowledge and I have three Chase cards. And beleive me, I have looked!
I have heard of certain people being solicited by Chase and it basically gives them an online link for them to increase their limit but maybe thats not true.
Debbie I believe you have to call Chase for a CLI request.. This will be a HP as well and it might end good or bad. Best Bet is if you want a "higher" credit line apply for another card such as the CSP or AARP or whatever and you will most likely get approved with a 5k+ limit, depending on the card and you can move some of your limit to you Freedom for the same HP as requesting a CLI.. Requesting a CLI on a freedom might result in only a 500 increase maybe a 2k increase, but you are better off just applying for new credit with chase and moving limit as you feel fit. Least that is others recommendations on this board to get the best bang for the buck out of a HP from chase.
Thanks for the info, guys!

Not a whole lot but i'll take anything with a soft pull.
