Hi All,
Quick question for you all.. since my TU and EX are frozen would Chase then pull my EQ report? I would prefer for them to since its my best report at this time... OR would they decline me and tell me that they cant run my credit?
What strategies have you guys used to steer a lender to pull from a specific CRA one that they dont normally use (EQ in my case) ?

I think Lexie will be along shortly to disclose that the discussion of freezing a report to force a CRA to only pull a certain CR is not allowed via the site TOS. She'll make it sound better and more official though.

+1 But to answer your question, Chase has always pulled EX for me. They would most likely ask you to unfreeze or they would cancel the application. I believe that would be the case for most lenders.

Freezing your CR's so that a lender is forced to pull a more favorable bureau is against myfico's TOS.
You also run into the situation where a lender is more concerned with why you want a particular bureau pulled.
It it is best that you have your reports-all- ready for a lender when you decide to app.
Chase always pulls EQ for me, they did infact this morning for a new Ink Plus card. (California)

Welcome to the forum. It is not illegal, it's more unethical.
No harm in asking.
Chase is either or for us.
They pull EQ when I apply, but pull EX when DW applies...and I'm pretty sure that we have the same zip code...
In NY from looking at the credit pulls database, they do EX mostly and TU next with a little EQ sprinkeled in. Uggggggggggggg

It's YMMV as a national lender: they pulled EX for me for both Freedom last year and Ink Cash this year as a Cali resident.
Actually everyone wants my EX report, I have to go out of my way to get a Equifax or Transunion pull.
