I have 3 Chase cards - Sapphire (oldest), United Explorer (newest), and Freedom Unlimited. I put a fair bit of spend on all of them. Admittedly I spend the least on the Freedom card, but I still spend on it. However, I can't seem to get any limit increase on that card no matter what. The Freedom Card has always had a toy limit compared to the other two. Oddly enough, Chase has automatically given me significant limit increases (25-35%) on the Sapphire AND the Explorer cards in the past 4 months without me requesting one. What gives?!?! I'd prefer not to have to transfer credit limits from one card to the other.

I don't know about the explorer card but the sapphire is an annual fee card and it is pretty well known that issuers are far more likely than to give larger credit limits and more limit increases on annual fee cards.
it makes sense as they don't want you to cancel cards with annual fees, because even if you never use the card they still make money. they would much rather that you cancel the cards with no annual fees.

How come you don't want to move the limits from one card to another? With Chase it's easy to do, just call or send a secure message online.
Yeah just call and get them to move limits between cards. Chase is one of the easier banks to do that with.

I'm with the others. I don't understand your reluctance to relocating limits. Chase is easy with that. First time I asked them, the friendly rep on the Sapphire line said "Sure. It's your credit to use how you want."

This actually reminded me that I've been meaning to do that. I called and moved $2.5k off of my Prime and added $500 to the CSP and $2k to the Freedom Flex. Took 10 minutes and the new limits showed up in the app by the time I got off the phone.
With Chase, I take CLIs wherever I can get them. I know I can move it where I want when I want.
