I applied for my last Chase card mid-February and received the 7 - 10 day message which surprised me a little, I was expecting an instant approval. Chase did approve me along with a nice five digit credit line. I recently saw my updated myFICO actual credit reports and it was interesting to see that Chase SP'd me for 10 business days in a row after I submitted the credit card app. I offer this information for those who still want to go on app sprees. Chase and Cap One seem to be saying it is time for moderation. YMMV.
10 business days in a row!!! That is really interesting to see Chase be so prudent. I always app in sprees because other lenders don't see the new accounts (or even inquiries on other bureaus) that I've just applied for before they approve me. It's always been a strategically effective way to go for me. Chase seems to be tightening up a lot and making it harder to get away with executing on my strategy. It's bad for me, but it's probably a smart move on Chase's part!

It is crazy, though i was only one. Chase SP'd my transunion every 2 days for the whole month of may. Haven't had any issues from them and haven't checked to see if it is continuing. Will have to BD transunion and see if it is going on still, kinda forgot till i saw this thread.
