Option B is the only one that works. FYI, I re-apped the day after I closed my original Freedom and still got the bonus.

The rep told me i could close and open same call ..

That might be possible; however, I'd like to wait a couple of months so that I see some prequals (given Chase prequals are pretty accurate) so that I know for certain that rates have gone down.

TBH I'm now a bit uncertain about the AAoA drop from the new app; however I do have my eyes on some other Chase cards so when and if I do app, I'll make sure I pick another card to minimize HP dings (hopefully).

I plan on PC my Freedom to a Slate for free FICO if they don't extend it to other Chase cards. And then PC my CSP to Freedom to keep 15.99% APR.

And then?

No and then!

You haven't gone the Slate route yet it seems.

What's the timeline for all of that?

ETA: Why not PC Ink Plus to Ink Cash?

Can't PC to slate yet it seems.

I downgraded CSP to Sapphire, and Ink Plus I just got.

Ok so basically keeping one UR transfer option open at all times Smiley Happy

Precisely.

I'd say every two weeks he's out of there cause of a random card with some sign up bonus comes out but that's beside the point. It's his credit and portfolio, so it's up to him to decide what calls to make.

Re: Chase Freedom: APR reduction vs. closing + reapp

yeah but hes doing it by PC'ing another Low apr chase card to Freedom.

I have never thought of this.. of course you have to already HAVE another low APR chase
card which I do not...

I think if you PC there are no signing bonuses which is why I wont do this.
