So yesterday i was approved for a $3500 Chase Freedom card which will be my current highest limit by 3.5 times. Should I recon to try to get say 5k. In general I am very happy with the approval and don't want to risk them deciding to reduce things. This site has taught me to not settle for their first offer. So should I try worst case they say no or would they possibly change an approval to a denial?
Thanks,
Sam

I got a $3,500 CL in June and just got bumped up to $4,500 today without even asking for it so I got a $1,000 CLI which is also my first Auto CLI
Took about 3 months to get my auto CLI
If that's your highest limit and your first chase card, I wouldn't push it. Besides, they'll probably want to do another HP.
I think I will try to lay low for awhile and not rock the boat. I am pretty happy with the available credit I have now combined with rewards/options it allows.
I'd say that's very good for Chase. Don't rush it. Besides, I've heard a lot about how they're good with auto CLIs.
Recon initial CL will cost you an HP for Chase, Proceed accordingly.
Many report that Chase loosens the purse strings more readily for subsequent accounts, after your first foot in the door. My first Chase card was a $1500 freedom, and I had to practically beg them for that. Less than a year after, instant approval for $14.4k Marriott.
