Called the recon number and explained the situation. Basically said I run all of my daily purchases and bills through it but would like a CL in line with my other cards so that if I ever wanted to take advantage of the balance transfer offers they send me or buy a bigger ticket item on a whim without paying off the card 3 times a month, I could. The lady asked some questions and said she had to email somebody since I called before the decision maker was in for the day. That afternoon, check my account and the full 6.5K I requested was there. So from 2k to 6.5k and I probably could have gotten more had I asked for it. Was all pretty fast and painless.
