I just got a new Chase Freedom Unlimited. It comes with 5% cash back on groceries.
Does anyone know if Amazon Fresh grocery purchases are eligible for the 5% cash back?
I don't see why not. You can always do a small test purchase.

The smallest purchase I can do is $100 to get a free 2-hour delivery. I already get 5% cash back because I have Amazon Prime VISA. But I want to use CFU to get the $200 SUB. I called CS...one agent wasn't sure. she told me that it depends how it is charged. However, when I called again this morning, the agent told me that the 5% cash back will apply. I was hoping someone here used it with Amazon Fresh.

While not ideal, if you do $100 purchase and you only get 1.5% that's only a $3.50 loss compared to using the Prime. So depending how near you are to getting the SUB it might be worth it

$100! Yikes. I have WM+ and it is $35 min spend for free delivery. I've never done 2-hour though. Curious why it has to be 2-hour?
Anyway, can't you go to the store and make a small purchase? I'm assuming if Amazon Fresh delivers to you, there is one nearby?
But my gut tells me Amazon Fresh counts as groceries. Good luck and let us know!

Amazon Fresh also works virtually (getting products from elsewhere) so there doesn't have to be a physical store anywhere near (only a handful of states have stores)

I see. I live in Murrieta CA and we happen to have one. I did figure they were rare but didn't know you can order from one without a store being within delivery distance. I visited once and was not impressed. I did a delivery order once only because I had an offer from amazon to do so. It was not easy finding $50 worth of non-overpriced items to buy!

There are none in MA (Currently, there were apparently plans to open 2 but that appears to be shelved) but we can order. In fact, it's a bit of a mystery because we are able to get a particular item which we cannot find at any nearby store and the manufacturer doesn't list any nearby retailers. WholeFoods sells it in NY/CT (and CA for that matter) so may be they hook into that supply chain.

As of a few weeks ago they were still publicly claiming they planned on opening 5 of them in MA (Saugus/Braintree/Billerica(!)/Westborough, and Leominster. Did you see anything about them pulling the plug on any of them?

I just saw some mid-2023 articles raising doubts but your news sounds later.
