A friend of mine recently got approved for the Chase Freedom Unlimited with the standard $200 intro offer. FWIW, yesterday she went to a Chase branch on banking business and was informed that there is currently a $500 intro bonus offer if she had gone into a branch to apply. Not sure if this would apply to other Freedom cards like the Flex or not.

Thanks! Great heads up. I might be into a $500 sub.
What the heck? That's wild.
Mind is blown.

Yeah but is it a real $500 SUB or something like their most recent sub where it's an extra 1.5% cash back on the first $20k spend (worth up to $300!!!!)
Anyway their best offers usually become available online too, eventually.

I hope I am wrong keek but I think perhaps there was an honest mistake here? Maybe one of two things.... your friend saw, get $200 when you spend $500, or they saw the up to $500 refer a friend bonus?
For me, it's $750 bonus cash back
$750 bonus cash back after you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first 3 months after account opening.* Chase Ink Business Unlimited® credit card

I think this thread is regarding the Chase freedom Unlimited??

It might be reverse. When I wanted to apply for CSP, the offer in branch was better than online. So, I went to branch and I received the card tomorrow morning at home.
I guess, the person misread the $500 SUB terms, since no track of it could be found in forums. Also, the cards with large SUB typically have AF.

I wasn't there so I'm not certain but she stated that the rep in branch told her that the intro offer is currently $500 for in branch applications. She had already secured the standard intro offer via online application/approval so she was bummed about missing out on the additional $. I'm thinking about going into a branch on my way home to verify; I don't need the Unlimited but if it's $500 I may take the HP.
