I'd like a CLI on my Chase Freedom.
I read on this board, from an old thread, that it's better to give them an amount than say no amount at all.
Anyone know one say or another? Anyone talk to a rep who told them which is better?
I have a number in my head but am thinking that if I say it they may have gone higher than if I said no number at all.
Thoughts?

I personally thinking asking for $25k is always a good number unless you are already in the $15-$25k and then I would ask for MORE! but if you are currently at under $10k, I would ask for $25k! they should counter, so why take the chance as you say and ask for to little, I want to hear a counter or I feel I shoudl have asked for more!
Thanks CA.
It's only at $5000, my lowest one (next to Cap One haha). So they do counter for CLIs?

you could just call underwriter so you can be speaking to them when they are reviewing credit... only thing you might find is they tell you that you are at your internal limit at current limits or at some partial increase amount and then you could decide rather to move around any of your other CL's
