Considering they limited the program to Slate and Marriott cards I'm thinking it was a pilot run to see how it went and will evaluate accordingly.
Just as a note to all who may be confused the "Chase Offers" are not credit card related like pre-approvals but offers for buying things at select stores/websites ala AMEX offers.
