Chase Marriot Rewards Card

Just got my card, it will be my daily driver as I will get 80k points after 3000 in purchases within the first 3 months and 7500 points if I add an AU and they make a purchase. I see on the website each purchase is shown for its reward points value. Do they simply wait until the statement closing date to award my points on my rewards account or does it happen as purchases are made?

I believe they add up all the points when your statement closes and then credit them to your Marriot account. Thats what they did with my Southwest card, and Disney card.

They credit them to your Marriott account every statement. It's a great card to have and the free night every year easily covers the annual fee. I love mine and it was my first card from Chase. I got an auto bump on mine after 3 months too.
