Oh God now every major bank is going to come out with their own "pay." Lol. My wallet app on cap1 came with an update that allows me to use nfc to pay using my cards. Tried it once but it failed completely.
Looks like it is an extention of CurrentC, the merchant-led payment system using a visual QR code that shows up on your phone screen.
So the question is, will it be tied to the CurrentC release, which looks like not until 2016, and if not, how independent can it be if it uses the same technology, looks for the same QR readers, and Chase is making their cards available on CurrentC anyway?

Not thrilled about this. This was reason they were blocking adding chase cards on android pay. I will have to think about just moving all my travel and dining spending to Citi Premeir instead.
