(Last thread I could find on this was from Oct 2015, and Chase Pay didn't launch till almost a year later).
Anyone here actually uses Chase Pay? I used it today for a Starbucks promo, but found it very uncompelling:
a) Needs (on Android at least) a different app from the normal chase one
b) while some cards were preloaded, my newest one wasn't. On the phone for 45 mins with no resolution, except "try again tomorrow, maybe it's too new"
Really not sure what use case it is intended to address (well, Chase profits I guess) but don't see why people would want to use it over Apple/Android/Samsung Pay

Everyone wants their own payment method because it drives the transactions through their systems, giving them a cut of the transaction fees.
I did the Chase Pay promo today as well. Only thing I've ever used it for.

I still farm Amazon GC's through Chase Customer Panel and they had a pretty long stint of surveys involving Chase Pay last year. I have had it for awhile but never used it. What platform is it?
I had Chase Pay installed on my phone for a bit. Apparently the QR code it generates is based on some Visa standard, so it's not completely proprietary. The upside is that this might actually be easier to implement for retailers than contactless payment, even with the new terminals they've been installing (long story).
That said, I didn't think it was worth keeping when there's only one or two places that accept it.
besides the apple pay promotion i've read about in the past, i've seen nothing that has come close to when samsung pay introduced rewards. since it started in November and through promotions and what not i've received a 30 dollar ebay card, 10 dollar amazon card, 50 samsung gift card and a 15 dollar samsung use anywhere debit card. not too shabby. and a lot of points racked up.

+1 My Spay rewards are racking up nice for me as well.
Here in the burbs you would have a tough time finding places to use apple pay anyway. I miss my Note7 but 2017 is here and rumors are starting to surface about Note8 q3 release date and the return of the removable battery (as well as a great discount for Note7 holders). can't wait.
I used this 4 times over the past couple of weeks to take advantage of the Shoprite/Chase Pay 10% offer. First 2 experiences were horrible as the checkout folks needed to call over a supervisor to get the QR code scan to work. Last 2 times worked fine. My phone is a 5S so this is only time I've used my phone to pay for anything. I maxed the offer, so I got $16 more in rewards over my normal Amex BCP.
I only use my Chase Freedom for 5% categories and would not use Chase Pay again unless there is an additional incentive. Agree it isn't compelling.
I have the Chase Pay on my iPhone, but never used. I used the Apple Pay and I'm happy with it. I already max out the 2x $1,500 5% spending on two of my Freedom cards. I could convert my FU card to regular Freedom. But just too lazy to do it.
