I was recently approved for the freedom and slate card, but was under the impression that if the same lender pulls your report within 30 days that it would only count as one HP. Is this true? I have two pulls by Chase on the same day, shouldnt it only count as one? Is there anyway for me to dispute the multiple pulls?
Thanks
You applied for two TLs with two applications and got two HPs. This doesn't really seem unreasonable to me at all.
Oh ok, I thought that there was something about pulls from the same lender only counting once if done within the 30 days...I guess its not that huge of a deal, I think I still only have 5 inquires on that report.
Thanks!
Even when you ask them if they will use your current pull they can refuse and will want to pull a new report. Not very customer friendly but within their rights I guess.

Some lenders will use an HP for multiple apps (AMEX for a revolver & charge card in the same day, some CUs for CCs and other products), but typically each new TL will use at least one HP.
Good to know in the future....will be in the garden for at least another two years now that I have all the cards i possibly want or need!
Thanks for the input.

+1. At least your INQ will age off at the same time.

Yup...just went through this with chase for my Freedom card. Online app....HP Approved for 5.5k
Called for recon for 10k...another HP. No 10k.
But they both drop together.
