CSR gives you 3x points dining & restaurats etc. Coffee shops included. So would I have to make a purchase directly in Starbucks, or could I reload my starbucks card, say $50 and gain 3x points?
I guess the only way is to reload a small ammount via my starbuck app and see if the charge on the CC gains 3x points.
When I reload my Starbucks card through the app, I get 3x points on my CSR.
With Chase UR, at least with my Freedom card, as soon as the charge shows up as posted on my on-line account, I can expand the details of how they calculated the points.
So a few days after you enjoy a beverage at Starbucks you should be able to enjoy reading the points results on that charge.
Other rewards cards are much more opaque, one has to re-engineer the points calculation to try to estimate which transactions were in which bucket. Or in the case of AMEX remember to go back two months later to see whether a charge got an extra points calculation.

Off topic, but this reminded to try to remember how to find the amount Amex gives for each transaction. I started doing that, and discovered that my OBC has only been giving me 1% instead of 5%, despite showing that I had met the threshold spend. I called, and after just an hour, they came up with the "solution", their systems need to be updated as the amount of spend wasn't right (I had spent too early so it should have been counted in the last reward year). I pointed out that I had been told by a CSR when my reward year started and it was before that date (apparently she was wrong) and I had relied on the info on the statement. The supervisor didn't care, and was going to send it to review (with a question about whether Amex Gift cards counted). Very unsatisfactory and expect I will close the card soon
One quick word of advice here:
It turns out this is one of the few areas where Chase slacks a bit. The category a place falls under is largely self-regulated by the merchant and if they are mis-classified, Chase is unlikely to adjust, even in a few areas where it's fairly obvious. For instance, after a somewhat lengthy inquiry (and written response), Chase insists Pinkberry is now a grocery store since sometime earlier this year (it used to be dining). Anyone familiar with the franchise knows they are certainly not a grocery store and I have since ceased to use my CSR there as a result.
You should be safe with Starbucks, and the good news is that anything from a dining category establishment is dining (that is, Chase does not distinguish WHAT you buy, only WHO you bought it from), but do be aware these can and do change so you shouldn't rely on a particular go-to place to always be available.
This off topic, but I was dismayed to find that using my bcp to buy groceries from Shipt, a third party delivery service did not yield the 6% cash back. I really like getting my groceries that way and would have loved the cashback. I don't know if it's worth going to the store for.
