Chase Sapphire Reserve Purchase Protection Question

I purchaed airpod pros a few months ago with my sapphire reserve. Last night my rotteilwer found a way to steal them off of my table while I was in the shower and chewed one into pieces. Am I able to use purchase protection to have them replaced? I paid $75 with an Apple gift card and put the rest on my card.

Re: Chase Sapphire Reserve Purchase Protection Question

Did you try selling the dog to recoup some of the damages?

It sounds like you should be able to get a refund by how it reads to me, provided you have a receipt. They may ask you to try first with the retailer. And they'll only be able to give you the non-gift card spend back.

I guess the question is whether a rotteilwer chewing it is "normal wear and tear".   As a chow owner, I know anything that can be reached is a) probably a toy, and b) probably worth a test chew anyway.

It's an act of Dog.

(No, I wouldn't call it normal wear and tear.)
