Re: Chase Slate and Pre-Approved Offer Question

Thanks to everyone for your advice and goodwill! For those who have prurient interests (post-app forensics / post-app mortems :-), TU was the CB that got dinged by Citi for the Slate app. My Amex FAKO score has decreased from 767 to 748, thus matching my score on the other 2 bureaus. Of course, the new TL has not shown up yet. I am OK with the drop in the sense that I have no need to use my score for a major purchase for at least 4 more years (my car just turned 1 y.o.), unless, out of the blue, I experience a burning desire to buy real estate. Which is very unlikely, so this should give my scores time to rebound.

Although if I could, I'd love to get rid of Chase Amazon for Chase Sapphire, and I also wish that I had a Kohl's card and an Old Navy card (for the awesome coupon benefits).

Re: Chase Slate and Pre-Approved Offer Question

Yes, you are 100% correct. I've got a lot of stuff going on today (or, at least, that's the excuse that I'm rolling with :-). Among other things, I just got off the phone with U.S. Bank. Since I've been doing well by them, I asked them about their CLI process. The CSR raised my limit to $5,000 ( ⇑by $1,100 ), with no HP required!

Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
