Personally I use AMEX MR Rewards over Chase UR Rewards for mainly two reasons:
What's your reasoning for having Chase over AMEX or vice versa?

Right now with the chase ur nerfs it gets harder and harder to get good value other than Hyatt for me. Amex gold is getting most of my spend I am probably going to eventually move my non category spending to BBR .
I'm actually thinking about applying for a BofA CR card for non category spending shortly. I wish AMEX would do something similar to Chase and allow the AMEX CM to transfer 1.5x MR's to AMEX Gold or Platinum cards. This would be EPIC!

Alternatively I wish Gas counted as travel like it does on Citi Premeir cards. That would make the CSR and CSP a lot more valuable to me imo. The BBR at 2x on everything is very appealing , so at the very least I would get 2x Mr on every purchase. Right now I am using CFU for non category spend its ok not great but after liquidating almost all my UR I wonder if I want to stay with chase. I guess I could jiust use my chase ur cards as basically a hyatt earning card. And have MR and AA be my transfer for flights

Ah, okay by BBR you guys mean the BBP. I was wondering why you guys were mentioning a BofA card with MR points unless I missed something obvious here.
Ah that makes sense! BBP doesn't report on personal credit reports does it?
I put plenty of spend on both. MRs probably give me more value, but I like travel insurance and my non-electronics Costco spend needs a Visa, so URs aren't likely to go anytime soon.
BBP does not report personally.

Correct. AMEX business cards don't show up on your reports.

- Previous negative banking relationship—I fully take responsibility for my F*** up but after hearing about how they just CLOSE peoples accounts I don't wanna make a small mistake and have my past history cause a immediate closure.
- Charge off from 2015 that I settled in full in 2019
- Charge off checking account from 2015 that I PIF in 2019
- Previous negative banking relationship with SO and Friends
- Chase closed my SO account because of suspicious activity—Paid for College and books which was a high purchase and they closed her accounts (checking too ) with no remorse. She PIF every month no missed payments and has been banking with them for over 5 years. She switched to NFCU w/me and hasn't looked back!

I have both, but prefer UR to MR because:
- The most important reason is I get better valuation out of UR, particularly on transfers to UA. DL is my main partner with MR, but their award redemptions are much worse than UA's. J/O tickets on UA/*A are often less than half as many points as J/O tickets are on DL. I consistently beat 5 cpp on UR/MileagePlus; I cannot say the same for MR/SkyPesos.
- Chase is Visa. American Express has less than stellar acceptance overseas, so while it works fine for airfare and hotels, restaurants can be a challenge.
- I get 3x UR on international dining. It took until this month for American Express to figure this out and give 4x MR on international dining. On that same note, I need two American Express cards (Platinum and Gold) to attain parity on point earning with one Chase card (CSR). Inefficient.
- American Express support acts nice but is unaccomodating. I don't care how many times you tell me I'm a valued customer or how you appreciate my business, but if you will not send a replacement card via snail mail when requested, you're obviously not valuing me or appreciating me that much.
