For the Chase World of Hyatt, I know that one may receive the annual free night certificate up to 10 weeks after his or her cardmember anniversary, but I am just curious how long it typically takes. For those who don't mind sharing, when is your anniversary date in comparison to your free night certificate? As always, thank you for the assistance.

They have always sent it to me 2 months after the anniversary date, giving me just 10 months in which to use it. My impression is that it's quite deliberate on their part, and in my opinion it's not very nice.
My apologies. @cws-21 I have been giving wrong information. Yes they always send it 2 months after the anniversary date, but they do afford 12 months from the issuance date.
Exactly 2 months after my anniversary for my Hyatt card as well. Funny enough, that'll be this Tuesday. I'll report back if somehow the free night doesn't post.
Thanks, @SouthJamaica. I was under the impression that you have 12 months from when the free night certificate is issued, not 12 months from your anniversary date. Is this not the case?

Yes that is NOT the case. It expires 12 months from the anniversary date. And since they don't issue it until 2 months after the anniversary date, you have only 10 months in which to use it.
In my opinion it's sneaky.
Update: I looked up the terms and conditions. Actually, this practice is not only sneaky, it is in violation of their terms and conditions:
"This Free Night Award is good for one (1) night in any available standard room within 12 months from issuance at a Hyatt hotel or resort, Small Luxury Hotels of the World hotel, or M life Rewards destinations hotel designated as Category 1 through 4 under the World of Hyatt program". So their issuance of free night awards with an expiration date that is 12 months from the anniversary date, rather than the issuance date, is a flagrant violation of their own rules.

This is interesting. I don't doubt you, but how do you know that your free night certificate expires on or the day before your anniversary date? Is an email provided or can it be found in your Hyatt account?

No worries. It happens. Thanks for contributing to the post nonetheless.
