Chase approved but not showing up online.

Ok, so I did something kind of bad. I have a Freedom with a 10,000 CL. I applied tonight for CSP and was approved for $5,000. It immediately showed up online. I called and had the card expedited. An hour later, I applied for Marriott Premier. It said I was approved for $5,000. I received emails on both saying "congratulations, your application was approved." The Marriott card is not showing up online. I called to have it expedited. The CSR said that he did not see the application for the Marriott and that he would call the application line for me. He came back and said that the system said they were closed since it was 9:58 and they close at 10:00.

Does this mean I am still approved? I do not want to go through any income verification with them. Is an instant approval a good thing even though they said they cannot find the application? I will call them in the morning though.

Ok, so I think I just answered my own question. I found the automated app status in the sticky thread. I called and it said the first application was approved for $5000. It said the second is under review and I should hear from them in 2 weeks.

I think that is so weird considering it said approved online and I received congratulatory emails on both applications.

No, Marriott card has to go to Marriott takes 3-4 days to get connected to your Marriott rewards number, then it goes into the Chase system.

Call back in a few days, it will be there.

If you search for Marriott card, you'll see a number of people experiencing the same thing. As long as you got the approval notice, and email, youre approved.

Yea I applied Monday and got the 7-10 day message so I reconed it on Tuesday and They told me I had to call the verification department on Wednesday since they were closed already since they close at 8 and I called at 8:30. Called them Wednesday verified some answers correctly and got Approved for $5,000. Still haven't showed up on my account either

You didn't get the generic congrats email from Chase? Or the Welcome email from Marriott? I never got the Marriott email either - but I called and talked with a rep today to get the card expedited, I applied Sat night, and the card appeared in their system last night, exactly 5 days.

Oh i see. I had the 7-10 day message too, but I got the congrats email

I would think Chase would know who you are by now! O_o
