As of 3/25/24 I would be 4/24 with the Chase card limit. If I burned Chase back in January/Feb. of 2017 of $6800 would I have a shot getting back in if I applied now? All 3 COs are off my reports - never paid Chase at all because I could not afford it. One other one was setlled and I am currently paying the final one with monthly payments in full that will end next year. I understand that they would still do a HP. I like the Freedom Flex card they have the best but is it easier to get back in with say, like an Amazon Visa? The CO was never paid so they wrote it off as a tax loss last year. I don't have any banking or other relationship accounts with Chase. What is the current phone number for recon. if I decide to do this?
I'm also curious with what the select 10% off products are with the Amazon Visa. I have the Amazon Prime Store Card with Synchrony at a $5000 limit? Sounds very interesting. If none of the Chase cards are showing up in Experian's listed recommended cards for preapproval is it worth applying at all yet?
I think it would definitely take a recon call to push through
My suggestion is to open a Chase Credit Journey Account (they are free), and see if you get an offer. Also, going in to a branch and checking if they see any offers, is also a good approach.
Ok I opened up a Chase Credit Journey account but it really didn't show me any offers other than the cards already on the Chase site. But it seemed a shortcut to applying for one of Chase as they already had my personal info and had to enter in income and housing info.
So I pulled the trigger for Freedom Flex and got a review email that they will be in touch soon. Experian and TransUnion were both pulled. I will wait for them to get in touch and call recon if necessary. I already have a number of free credit monitoring accounts so I think I'll just request the Credit Journey account to be closed since it's not showing me prequalified offers for any card. Clicking Offers just takes me to the regular listing of all the Chase cards on their website.
If I never paid off the CO what should I say for the recon call? Would it have been better to have gone for the Amazon Visa? Thanks for your help. I'm sure the phone number is in the forum pages somewhere too.

From what I have seen, that is not how it works. It is not the same a a pre-approval link, but it puts you in Chase’s sights and after some time one may get pre-approvals. My b/f had two Chase accounts that were closed by Chase (the accounts had high utilization but were never late and were paid in full after they were closed). He opened the Credit Journey account after he had paid off his balances. A few months later (about two years after the accounts were closed), he got offers for Chase Sapphire Preferred, a Freedom card (do not remember which) and a United Explorer card. He still has not opened another Chase card, but he does keep getting offers from them.
I burned them 13 K Waiting for the prime day to test if could get back in with Amazon card..

When did you burn them and was it via a bankruptcy?
Chapter 13:
I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

You could be denied even at 4/24 only way find out by applying .. Remember Chase has Internal blacklist for A while ..
Just to confirm, don't do it Because I was able to log into my old Chase account And all the charge off accounts are still there .. Mines happened 2016 years your 2017 ..
By paying back only way get back in ..
