Chase bonus points downgrade

I don't know if this is allowed, but here is just a friendly reminder that Chase Sapphire Preferred will be downgrading the sign-up bonus as of Tuesday, 4/3/2012. They will go from 50,000 bonus points down to 40,000 so if you are considering an app, now might be a good time.

Glad I got mine last month. I also got the Freedom with the 30,000 point bonus before it went away.

EDIT: It appears they changed the offer already on their own page but there are still offers on affiliated websites that are good until the 3rd.

I'd app before the 3rd, and take screen shots.

Hopefully, this isn't a sign of the bonuses contracting, which it appears to be. It's been really a fun time with all the credit cards competing for customers. Market competition is a beautiful thing!
