Chase is amazing

Got approved for the Chase freedom card 3 weeks ago and had no idea what my perks were. This is my first major card that is not Credit One, Capitol One or Merrick bank. So I called yesterday to find out my purchase APR and its 0% till September 2016...WOW! Then I noticed everyone talking about the $200 bonus so I asked about that... Yes I get that too!!! I already hit my $500 mark, payed my Verizon and DWP bill using this card. The rep told me it takes about 6-8 weeks for the bonus to show up is this correct?

Congrats on the Freedom approval. Your bonus will show up after your first statement most likely.

The bonus typically shows up after the statement cuts for the period you earned the bonus. I hit the $500 spend before my 1st statement had cut, and my UR Points balance was $167 after the statement cut.

congrats on you approval. yes, the freedom is a sweet card. my bonus came with the statement.
