Yes, the card came from Westerville, OH. I could have driven there in 3 hours to pick it up. Kidding, just kidding. So really, it shouldn't have taken more than 2 or 3 days to reach my doorstep from the time it was shipped. Still, kind of crazy.
Imperfectfuture - How did you already get your bonus if you have not received the credit card from Chase?
ArmyVietVet - Very interesting. I wonder what took so long for them to order the credit card? I could understand a short delay since yours was quite close to Christmas, but 8 days seems a bit much!
jsucool76 - How would I go about doing this instant statement credit with no minimum spend? I am a bit confused.
All in all, I'm happy I got the card, but I am a bit peeved that it took nearly 2 months & was not allowed an extension to spend the $500 for signup bonus. I'm sure some of you are thinking...what's the big deal? This person can't spend $500 in 1 month, I can do that in 2 weeks etc? But, you have to realize that's not the case for everyone! I can do it in 3 months (did for the QS bonus), sure. Guess, I might just have to make a few bigger purchases & see if I can get it done!
If there is a sign up bonus program attached to the card, make sure you call them again about the delay in receiving it, as usually the sign up timeline starts from the date the card was issued, not when you receive it.

That's too bad Chase won't give you an extension; it's really the mail's fault but I'm surprised that won't even work with you. Have you tried contacting the EO?
I think in general this forum has a lot of high income/high spenders and isn't a good representation of the average population. My monthly spend is only about $400-500 and that's regardless of my low income as even when I was a teacher (~36k income), that's pretty much all I spent in a month as well (this is after bills/rent/etc that I can't pay via CC).
