You're getting the Citi prequalification page loading when you visit other websites?
Ha. No, I cannot seem to see if I am prequalified for any cards at any websites. That was just at the citi website.
I have had far better luck with Chase - higher CL and approvals, not to mention the Ultimate Rewards are by far the most valuable IMO.
I've had mostly good experiences with both lenders. I like Chase's rewards program better than Citi's.
Hands down chase becuz of the transfer partners it's associated with if you can use them, the range of cards you can use to earn chase ur points. I could see citi if you can use their transfer partners, but they are mostly international.

My guess is issue with identity verification/ soft pulling your credit reports.
From my experience, CITI is way kinder to me. A few years later with significantly higher income and 800s across all 3 bureaus Chase is still PITA to me. They just won't give me auto CLIs and I thought it's just my income and CS just wasn't good enough. I guess not lol. That said, I do have 4 Chase CCs though, 3 of which I got during my early days of CC app spree and the 4th cc I just got yesterday.

The last time I called Chase for a CLI on my CSR, the call lasted under a minute. While I understand some people are hesitant to call and would rather just click a few buttons and let the machines decide (this is my preference, too) I would not really consider it wasting a bunch of time.
Is Chase CLI still HP?
i believe it still is

Yes
@Charmante wrote:Out of the two, which is Easier to be Approved for AND the best at CLI's and Multiple Account Approval (after established)...?
IMHO Citi is slightly easier to be approved for, and is significantly better at CLI's. It appears to me that neither bank minds you having lots of their cards, and each is jealous of your having lots of cards with other institutions.
