Chase saying already approved?

I logged into chase today to actually look at what their interest rates were car loans, but when I clicked on offers I saw all these cards that said 'already approved'.

I was surprised and excited because I had some financial issues maybe 10 years ago and only a few accounts I paid the full balance of, and others I did negotiated less then owed. But with chase, one account was settle for less than owed, but the other one I burned them, I couldn't even remotely afford the settlement.

I realize that all of the negative stuff is suppose to fall off after 7 years but I've read Chase and Citi are extremely hard to get back in with which is why I opened up a savings account several years back and through a few bucks in there from time to time, but if I remember correctly it even took a bit before they would let me do that open an account. It's taken me a long time to rebuild my credit especially because now I'm completely debt free and have been for 5 years, which sadly kept me around the 790 mark, and because nearly all of my cards had been close so length of credit was short. Though I did get my mother to add me as an authorized user to her Macys and Sears card (Idk where a sears is even at) because those accounts were opened in the 70's!!! So that helped SIGNIFICANTLY!! Then the last 2 months I started using one of my cards because I was denied a CL increase to "

Recent use of this account's existing credit line has been too low". Because up to two months ago each card had a recurring charge on it like one was Netflix another my gym membership, so I paid them in full each time, which I didn't realize was hurting me. So I put $390 worth of charges and only paid $300. And my score went up by 33 points!

Anyways I digress. But has anyone seen this??

I'm not going to pull the trigger yet until

1) the CARFAX pulls clean on this truck that I'm hoping they didn't accidentally put the wrong price in cuz it's an amazing deal.
2) if the price is correct on this truck, I want the loan inquiry to hit my report first cuz I don't need the CC, I only want it to keep rebuilding.

Re: Chase saying already approved?

My guess is your score went up because you have one card reporting a balance.  There is actually a score penalty if all your revolving accounts report a zero balance.

I'd get the truck loan and the truck in hand first, then try for the Chase card.  "Already Approved" with a green star is, in most cases, a sure bet at approval.
