Logged into my Chase account to pay my balance. Saw a little green checkmark by "Your Offers". First time I've seen this an offer for Chase CSP. I've actually never seen an offer for a credit card.
1) I'm WAY over 5/24 (was tempted out of the garden by AMEX pre-qual and that darn Synchrony PayPal), putting me at 10/24 until 12/17. Yikes!
2) I burned Chase in BK 13, was grateful they let me back in with a Disney Premier back in Feb. 2017.
3) My Fico 8 scores are still pretty low...TU 668, EX 657, EQ 686.
FYI...I have a Chase checking. I have always paid my Disney card on time and don't carry a balance. This has to be a fluke, right? What are the chances of not getting laughed out of my local branch (less than a mile away) to check on this offer?

Not necessarily a fluke. Those offers generally, while no guarantee, are pretty solid. Does it list a specific APR and not a range If so,t hat's a pretty solid preapproval and the banker at a branch would see the same thing, nothing more.
In my experience, the green checkmark offers are solid. My CSP and Slate show that they bypass 5/24 just like an in-branch offer (nearest branch for me is 3 hours away over in CT). Your stats don't seem to be laughing stock and if they're showing a pre-approval, unless something has changed much on your reports you should be golden. Only thing you have to lose is an HP (or 2)! Not sure if the preapproval carries over to branch or not, but the offer on your account should just require an annual income and housing payment with a set APR listed, right?
Sidenote: I love this forum. Where else do you get three great answers all posted within 60 seconds of each other?
Edited sidenote: Wait, AJC didn't actually answer! So make that two great answers and comic relief.
Thanks for the quick responses. I logged back into my Chase account to check for a specific APR, whether it asked for income and mortgage info, etc. I saw, to my dismay, it was not an actual offer for a CSP for ME, but like AJC, bonus points for referring friends to a card I, myself, do not have. Excitement short-lived. Whomp whomp.
Guess I was just so excited to see a picture of a credit card in my offers. Didn't read it well enough.
Bummer.
On the bright side, if you get a preapproval at least you already have answers going in!

I like your thinking! There's always a bright side! Hopefully, one day I will see pre-approvals from Chase. After all, I never thought I'd see them from AMEX but now I am!
I got the Freedom in 2014, followed by the CSP 2 months later after one $100 charge at Williams-Sonoma.
I cancelled the Freedom after rolling all but $500 over to the CSP. I thought I had done a great job consolidating but really missed that Freedom card.
Chase gave me the green check for the FU card one day and it was an instant approval.
