Citi AAdvantage APR below 13%

My Citi AAdvantage card is now at 13% APR, and I'm pleased with this on a card that is only just 5 months old.

I have heard several reports of people getting it lower, but not sure of any recent successes in doing this.

Please respond if you have been successful at getting Citi AAdvantage below 13% APR. This request relates to the AAdvantage card specifically, not for other Citi cards. Thanks!

My AAdvantage Executive is at 11.74%. Might be able to go lower but haven't had time to ask again.

Thanks, galahad! The whole thing was crazy - I was able to get it down to 13% over a 6 week period and just having the card for only 6 weeks at that time! ihcole provided a great example in his post of how he was able to get his down to 13%, so I followed his lead.

I know that a few people have been able to get it just a bit lower and I'd like to see their data points so I can try to bring it down further. 

I have a promotional rate of 5.99% for the next year on the card, so that will be extremely helpful, but I'd like to see others' experiences in getting the regular APR below 13% so that when mine does revert to the regular APR, I have some strategies and reference points to work with.

Well done, humu! I am a big believer on getting those intereste rates lower! You never know when you might need to carry a balance.
