Citi Bank Simplicity CC-Denied??

Hello all! I app'd for a CB Simlicity CC last night and got a message that said it needed more time to process and that I'll be notified by mail within a week. So is this their way of saying no and has anyone else got this message and been approved? Just wanted to know what this means if anything at all.

I got the same message and I called the number they provided on the screen to check the status and was approved for simplicity card with a 1200 limit

No one is going to be able to give you a definite answer on this. Perhaps you should call and find out. That's the only way you'll know for sure. If it's a denial, try to ask for a recon. Good luck!

Citi is horrible w recons.
So don't be on overturning a denial...

Well I called and was told that it was denied because of too many inquiries..??? I haven't app'd anywhere since 2010. So i guess they can still use that. Oh well...just chalking it up to maybe I don't NEED another cc anyway!

No although the person did ask me about it and I told her what I just told you and she said oh ok well I'm sorry...Go figure

Citi App Status: 800-645-7240, 800-288-4653, 800-750-7453 

Citi: 800-444-2568 (Retention Dept.)

Citi: 800-763-9795 (App status?? They ask for your app #)

Citi: 888-201-4523 (New App Approval Status)

Try these numbers for a recon, the reason is bogus if you haven't had an INQ since 2010.
