We were trying to figure out what to do with DW's Citi Hilton HHonors card. I thought we'd look at what other oferings they had and see if it was worth trying to either a)PC the card to something else or b) apply for a new card and then have them transfer the limit over. After looking the site over we came to the conclusion that, for us at least, their card selection is somethat underwhelming compared to other issuers.
I have the TYP and obviously they have a stronhold with the AA cards but we don't every fly American.
Am I missing something on this?

I don't think you're missing anything. I find their card offerings to be quite lackluster. The best card they offer is Home Depot IMO.
I agree. I have two TYP cards. I did a PC change for one to some Legacy cash back card that I managed to get. I looked at the other cards they currently have to see about doing a PC change for the second TYP card and I just don't see anything that's appealing. I wouldn't qualify for any of the bonuses since it'd be a PC, and none of the rewards seem like anything I'd want. Their card selection is, by far, inferior to what other creditors are offering.
And they won't transfer credit lines between cards ;(
Oh really? I never even bothered asking. It'd be sweet if they could. I'd have a monster $20k limit if they would.

If you have premier or prestige card you can transfer TYP to up to 7 airline partners, i think the 3 big ones are cathay, etihad , and SQ
Citi (from every conversation I've had with them) will not move limits around via PC. I have two with them; one being the Diamond Preferred (ugh) which will likely never see the light of day - but, its a pretty card amongst all the other sock drawer cards..
I'm hoping perhaps at some point they will A) create a decent all around spend card and B) allow customers to reallocate credit lines. I live in a hopeful world ![]()
The Dividend isn't a bad card - the categories don't usually overlap with the Freedom/IT and the cap is 300/year (in cashback) instead of the 1,500 spend a quarter, making it (potentially) more useful.
I have a crappy Forward college card that the only good rewards that are on it is the ability to lower my already high interest rate on it by paying on time and the TY points. Other than that, it's really lame and I mainly have it open cause it's my oldest card and I'm probably PCing to a Dividend card after this September.
Geeze, and Citi was up for including in my next App spree I am planning. Only thinking Citi to diversify Bank/CC line up currently. Low APR was only nice thing possible. Didnt really see much that I wanted to jump on. What is Citi's best Card offering for most?? and What is their current best Bonus offering??
