Citi Forward, Citi Platinum Select or both?

I'm considereing applying for a Citi card, as I'm in the market for a new laptop before I head back to school. I like the bonuses being offerd by Citi Forward. Does Citi Select Mastercard have a rewards program, or is that just the other Select cards?

Anyone been approved recently? What were your scores and what CL did you get approved for? My EQ scores has bounced all over, but it's finally back in the 700s.

Re: Citi Forward, Citi Platinum Select or both?

I app'd for Citi Forward as my first card.

I had only 2 student loans I wasn't even paying yet and they instantly approved with 2,500$ (But 20.99% APR, ouch). My score was 683 and they pulled Experian.

Re: Citi Forward, Citi Platinum Select or both?

I have one student loan. Just got a car loan two months ago, I've made a payment and had $2300 taken off the back of the loan (got rid of my extended warranty), so the balance on that isn't too bad. I completely paid off my  Chase Amazon card and it will hopefully report as 0 this month. Paying my TD Visa off this Friday, so that will leave two major CC accounts.

$2500 a good balance for a first card, I don't even have that with Capone and they were my first card, but they're different. I may bite the bullet and apply for Citi Forward.

Just keep calling to recon. Sometimes the one who picked up your call is more strict about recon. I got my Forward card with 2 months of credit history.

Do you get the student version or regular one?

Student version, but there is no difference once you got the card.

Two differences between student and regualr version,

* No BT introdcutory offer for student version.

* 7 months 0% intro APR on purchase for student, 12 months for regular.

I was out of school for like 4 or 5 years so student card might not be my option anymore. What number do you call for recon? I look in sticky thread and there are so many numbers for citicard.

Re: Citi Forward, Citi Platinum Select or both?

Dude, I've been calling them for a couple of days now and they don't wanna hear anything about reevaluation. I probably tried all numbers.

Finally the lady on the phone yesterday evening was a little nicer, BUT.. she mentioned that I could fax my Equifax credit report and they would get back to me with a response within 7-10 business days.

Now I don't have a fax machine, I don't know when I will be able to do that.

And I've been trying to get over it but I just hate seeing that hard pull and no card attached to it.

Did you get to a fax machine?

I applied and called in the next day and was told I was denied. I may ask for a recon in the next few days I SHOULD have a balance report zero tomorrow. They pulled EX, really wished they had pulled EQ or TU as those are my highest.  Not sure what EX says,
