I currently have the Citi Prestige and after a years use decided that the benefits truly don't fit very well. It's one of my higher limits at 6.5k so I don't want to lose the line. Should I product change it or ask to combine the limits and close? I have a Citi DC (5k), Rewards+ (3.7k), and the AAdvantage Platinum (6.5k). I think the easiest plan would be to PC to a DC but having two at such close limits seems dumb to me. Opinions?
Does Premier in its new configuration work for you when combined with the 10% rebate on Rewards+? If not, may as well PC it to DC unless something else interests you.
Combining limits with Citi is kind of smoke and mirrors. You'll usually need to take a HP and be approved for a CLI on the receiving card prior to them reducing the line on the donor card.
Does the Costco card interest you? We just product changed one from a DC today.

If you mean blah by design, I think I am one of the rare folks that really dig the simplistic look of the card. If you mean blah by benefits, it is about what I would expect for the type of card with no AF (minus the Costco membership). IMHO, for those that shop at Costco it is a great card, especially paird with the Executive membership for 4% on Costco Purchases.
With that said, since the OP has the Rewards+ already, getting the Premier seems like the way to go to maximize earnings as @K-in-Boston says. It is certainly hard without enough to travel to justfiy the Prestige but I think the Premier's $95 AF is easier to accept when you are maximizing your earning potential (something I need to get better at for sure!).

Benefits aren't so blah. While losing Price Rewind was painful and the claims process isn't guaranteed to be smooth, the extended warranty it offers is second only to Amex Centurion.
If you're keeping the DC and the Rewards+, downgrading to the Premier could be a pretty reasonable trifecta.
I have this trifecta, although for Dining and Groceries I mainly use my Amex Gold and use the Premier as an Amex backup for these purchases. Regardless of that for $95 there is quite a good amount of point earning potential.
