Hello all,
I applied for a Citi Platinum Select card last night. This would be my third CC (Amex Blue w/ $15,000 CL and Amex Zync), also have a car loan with a $3,800 balance. My Fico score normally hovers between 740-760 so with this I was hoping to get an instant approval in the 7-10k CL range. One of the reasons I went with a Citi was because I wanted the higher CL right off the bat
After I review the app and submit it, I get the "this application requires further review" note. I call them today and they have no record of my App saying that it takes 24-48 hours to get into their system. I get no email confirmation, nothing. Is this normal for Citi cards? My American Express applications were approved instantly and I know Capital One is running a "Get Approved in 60 seconds" promo.
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
-Greg
its normal. I got the same thing.
And then got an email in 2 to 3 days welcoming me and telling me my credit limit.
They wont have a record right away.
Well that makes me feel a little better... I was thinking that waiting 2 weeks to get a letter in the mail was a little silly. This is 2011...
I called today and they had no record of my application... said it should take no more than 48 hours... I applied Monday night so I guess I will try calling them again tomorrow. I'm getting a little nervous.
That is weird I agree.
Call again and ask the rep to check the second system, your app is probably on it.
Just called and asked about a "second system". The rep made me sound like I was crazy and acted like no such system existed... Already not liking Citi.
Call and tell the rep you sent your application in with your mind and they need to check the telepathic inbox.
For some reason I feel that my saracasim would be lost on "Raymond". The friendly CSR who is from "Texas". If Texas was across the ocean and in the southern hemisphere.
