I have the Citi Reserve and one of the things I like about it is that you're a Gold member as long as you own the card. HHH just sent me my new membership card in the mail and it was a Silver member card. The site still states I'm a Gold member, which is good. Will they eventually send the Gold member card in the mail? I like having it because sometimes during stays I pull it out and receive some free room requests.
Starting Score: 648I would call to verify. I know Amex changed their policy with Surpass last year but I hadn't heard they were taking Gold away from Citi CC holders.
I don't think, it matters that you got a silve card. When you do book, your member number will automatically reflect your status.
Also, if you spend $40K this month (Assume), then you will have a diamond status for this year and for next year too. But in reality, I feel Hilton diamond status don't really have much value.
You can call them, and ask your gold card to be mailed and fix if there is any issues.

I agree that Diamond isn't a huge leap above gold. And I agree with Lexie. Your HH number at check-in will be sufficient to get you the perks your elite level affords you.
I think mailing the Silver was just a mistake. Pretty sure Citi Reserve is staying at Gold level
