Citi Secured Card

Hey all. Long time lurker first time poster. I have a question regarding the Citi secure card if anyone can help. Has anyone with a BK and/or IIB Citi in their bankruptcy been able to get a Citi Card, and have it graduate? I recently applied and was approved for the Citi secured card and did filed BK7 and was discharged in July 2015. Citi was included in my bankruptcy. I have done tons of searches but can only find stories of people with prior BK’s getting approved for the Citi Secured but haven’t been able to find anything on someone who burned Citi in their BK and then was able to get the Citi secured card and have it graduate. Anyone know anything further on this!!? Thanks myFICOers.

Once you get it the card will unsecure in 18 months irregardless of whether or not CITI was IIB. CITI is Very picky so make sure there are no late payments or other issues. I had the card for more than a year. I owed $20 one month and was 3 days late. They refused to unsecure stating I had to wait another year. I got mad and cancelled the card which I now regret.

So if you pay late once you have to wait a whole year to unsecure?

Mine just graduated.. The line they gave me on the unsecured was the same amount when it was secured..

CLI? Yeah.. For an HP, so no thanks..

Still deciding what to do..

Keep it and keep using it. You should receive SP CLI language in about 6 months IIRC.
