That spend requirement feels a bit low at $4,000 in three months. I would have expected it to be closer to $6,000 to $8,000 over that same period.

The refreshed Sapphire Reserve SUB is 100,000 points with $5k in spend in 3 months, but that also comes with a $500 travel portal credit.

Were we lied to? Chomping at the bit to sink my teeth into the meat of a new card (or NOT)?
Com'mon Citi, don't keep the MyFicoers sitting on edge!!! ![]()

The usual bloggers are silent today. The only new info I see is a random comment buried in a Reddit thread, and it said someone who visited a branch was told that it would launch next Sunday (July 27th). I guess we just continue to sit and wait for real news.
Here's the card design: (google images indexed on citi.com before release)
A lot of folks on reddit do not like this design b/c they think it's from the 90s. Hard disagree from me.

The Miles Talk blogger visited a branch today and received some updated information. The main points are that the launch will be on Monday, July 27th. A look at a calendar says that date doesn't exist. It would either be Sunday the 27th or Monday the 28th. Also, the article says that the tiered SUB isn't happening though there will still be annual fee discounts with certain banking relationships.
<Excerpt below>
They seemed pretty confident it will be next Monday, July 27, 2025.
The in-branch offer will be 100,000 points when you spend $4,000 within 3 months. It looks like they changed their minds on a tiered bonus based on your relationship level with Citibank and everyone from the lowest tier (and presumably those not banking at Citi but that is unclear) gets 100,000 in branch.
Notably, The Citi Strata Premier and the Citi Strata℠ (formerly Rewards+) cards will now offer an additional 5,000 bonus points in-branch. That’s 65,000 for Strata Premier and 35,000 for the no annual fee Strata. The Citi Strata℠ Student card will launch as well with a 5,000 point bonus for $500 in spend in 3 months.
$595 and $75 for authorized users. (Does an AU get Priority Pass? Not sure…). Citigold ($200,000 in assets on deposit) gets $145 off the annual fee. Citi Private Client ($1MM in assets on deposit) gets the first year completely free (save $595) and then $145 off the fee in subsequent years.
The bonus category structure and key benefits are exactly as Doctor of Credit had been saying.
