I just apped for the TY Premier for the juicy 50K signup bonus and got an approval for $7.1K. Not too bad. They pulled EQ and my score was 739. On the approval page where it says a little information about what credit bureau they pulled and a little bit about your credit score, there was something a little scary that caught my eye.

Citi seems to think my EQ has an account not paid as agreed, public record, or collection agency filing. Stunned, I immediately pulled my EQ and as I thought, there was no account not paid as agreed, public record, or collection agency filing. Why would Citi tell me this? I called Citi and a supervisor didn't have an answer for me. Anyone experience anything like this?

Little notes like that just say what COULD be affecting your credit score. Doesn't mean that those particular examples apply to you.
This is likely something in your file, but it could be innocuous. A communication you had with a lender, that gets tagged as some sort of note, might do it.
I sent a letter to AMEX, as I am trying to get my MSD updated. They tagged the account as "Consumer disputes this account". smh.
You are likely aware, and would know if there was any negative, but it could be possible that a "note" of some kind is triggering this.

That's what I was thinking too, but seeing that the message said "Key factors that adversely affected your credit score" it was a little more directed towards me personally.
